Core Privacy Guarantee: Zero Data Selling
Smart Infotech Apps is an independent Shopify application development studio. We never sell, lease, rent, monetize, or disclose your store data, customer personally identifiable information (PII), or order history to third parties or advertising networks under any circumstance.
1. Information We Access and Process
WholesaleEngine is engineered specifically to utilize modern Shopify Functions, meaning discount calculations and business logic occur natively inside Shopify's checkout runtime rather than on external remote servers.
- Merchant Store Metadata: Store name, myshopify.com domain, primary store email, and currency code (strictly required for app authentication and Shopify Billing API verification).
- Discount Configuration Rules: The tier schedules and customer tags (e.g.
[wholesale_vip]) that you configure within the WholesaleEngine admin settings. - Customer Tag Ingestion: Evaluated in-memory during checkout execution via Shopify Function WebAssembly. Customer names, physical addresses, credit cards, and sensitive identifiers are not stored on our databases.
2. How We Use Information
The minimal data processed is used exclusively for:
- Configuring and synchronizing discount rules directly to your Shopify store.
- Validating active app subscription status through the Shopify Billing API.
- Providing direct technical support when requested via
support@smartinfotechapps.com.
3. Mandatory Shopify Data Protection Standards & GDPR / CCPA
We strictly adhere to the Shopify Partner Program Agreement and mandatory Shopify Webhook requirements:
- Customers/Redact: Requests to delete customer data received via Shopify mandatory webhooks are processed within 48 hours.
- Shop/Redact: If you uninstall WholesaleEngine, all cached merchant configuration data is purged automatically within 48 hours.
- Zero Theme Code Footprint: Uninstalling the app completely disables the Shopify Function immediately. No theme cleanup is required.
4. Security Infrastructure
All communications between Shopify and WholesaleEngine use industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3) encryption. Stored application metadata resides in secured, isolated cloud databases with strict role-based access control.
